Intro

TubeQueue is a .NET based YouTube video downloader and video converter. It uses ffmpeg for video and audio conversion. It is unique in that it uses the concept of video conversion queuing, which essentially enables you to apply any combination of video conversions to any combination of videos downloads directly from YouTube. The built-in search allows for batch searching of playlists, subscriptions, favorites, uploads of a particular user, and general videos (example usage: downloading a 10-part video series in batch) and the traditional YouTube search page supports browsing YouTube to find the videos you want (like many other YouTube apps).

TubeQueue supports converting YouTube videos to AVI, MP4 for iPod 5G, MP4 for iPod Touch/iPhone, mpeg, mov, FLV, and many more file types. You can also tweak the default ffmpeg settings built into the program and modify them to your specific desires, and then save the resulting tweaked conversion for later use. TubeQueue also supports adding a local media file of any type (AVI, mp4, etc) and converting it to any other type (must be supported by the included ffmpeg binary), essentially making it a full-fledged general video conversion tool as well.

Features

* Intuitive, easy to use interface

* Traditional YouTube interface search feature to add videos to a queue

* Built-in search feature, so you can quickly queue up multiple videos videos from a particular search term with a right click

* If you experience issues, you may want to run the program as Adminstrator in Vista / Windows 7 (right click on the icon, and press "Run as Adminstrator"). You can right click on the icon and set preferences to permanently load the program as Admin as well.

* You need the .NET framework 3.5 installed to run this program. It may or may not prompt you to install it. If not, download it here.

- Batch YouTube search function allows you to search a user's subscriptions, playlists, and favorites. You can also find all videos uploaded by a particular user

* There are now minimize and maximize buttons for the Youtube browser and internal Youtube search areas, so you can comfortably select / view videos or the YouTube webpage in a larger viewing area (they are at the bottom of the search panes)

* Entire app has been slightly scaled down in dimensions to fit on more monitors

* There is now a "Update Now" button in the top menu to check for critical updates

* There is alternative / recent ffempg binary included in the installation (ffmpeg-alternative.exe) in case the current binary stops working or does not work in a particular conversion

News

TubeQueue v2.0 is coming out some time in the near future, hopefully (a month or more, maybe, depending on time)! It will probably have a variety of  "small" improvements, but most important it should have a media library with VLC media player embedded into the program itself! Seems like a daunting task, but I'm up for it.

Contact/Help/Bugs

*Please leave comments here.

A tutorial video is provided (on YouTube). Currently, it's located here -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9xymYfv_Ho.

I am in the process of annotating it using the YouTube annotation feature, but it's an ongoing project than may never get finished.

You can leave comments about this app on the YouTube page.

You can also address questions to andrewtheartist at hotmail dot com

Bugs/Issues:

* There may be various problems running this program in Vista -- (1) Youtube search feature may return a "Navagation to this web page has been canceled" error. (2) Multiple downloads may cause various exceptions and errors. These issues may or may not affect your Vista machine. They never seem to happen in XP, however. The cause of these problems is currently unknown (if you have any ideas, please contact me)

* The download progress window flashes continuously as it updates. If this happens, know that the videos are still downloading in the background.

* If you try to download a video from a country outside of your own country, you might get an error.

* You cannot rename a local media file in the program before converting -- it just inherits the name of the original file.  Will fix later.

Rapid Process Manager

Rapid Process Manager v1.1 -- rapidly kill, close, suspend, and resume processes

2/8/09

Rapid Process Manager

With Rapid Process Manager, you can rapidly kill, close, suspend, and resume processes running on your machine using a simple search dialog that lets you rapidly and efficiently zero in on the process you want to manipulate. This program was designed as a quicker and simpler alternative to Window's Task Manager. It uses BeyongLogic's powerful command line utility program "process" to manipulate tasks.

Label2Cue

Label2Cue v1.5 -- convert Audacity label files to cue files

Audacity cannot currently export Cue Sheets by direct means (although it has been a feature request for some time), but it is possible to use label2cue to produce cue sheets indirectly from label text files.

To use this program, first split your recording in Audacity into separate tracks using the method described on this page of the Audacity wiki.

Then, in Audacity, select File > Export Labels and name your exported label file. It will be saved as a plain text document that represents the label positions in seconds (and optionally, the label titles).

Finally, simply single/double click on the Label2Cue.jar file to initaite the conversion.

JRE (Java) >= 1.5 on any operating system is required to run this utility.
